The playground is modest but well-kept, and the calm bay water in front of it (a world away from the ocean surf a few blocks over) makes it a good spot for younger kids to wade or launch a kayak or paddleboard. It’s the kind of quiet, local spot that doesn’t show up in most guidebooks but ends up being exactly what a family needs after a busy beach day — grassy lawn, shade, and a slower pace. Best used in the late afternoon when the bay is calmest and the light softens over the water.
