Sago offers a more contemporary, fusion-leaning take on Asian cuisine up in Encinitas, worth considering if a coastal day trip takes you that far north. Like Temaki Bar nearby, it makes the most sense paired with a broader day exploring Encinitas rather than as a standalone dinner destination given the drive. The more elevated, creative menu is a nice change of pace if you’ve had a few nights of casual beach-town dining already. Reservations recommended, particularly for weekend dinner service.
